Stephanie Ahmad Announces Run for Windsor School Board
Stephanie Ahmad, Windsor Educational Foundation Board Member and President, today announced her candidacy for Windsor School Board.
Stephanie Ahmad (formerly Stephanie Diaz) grew up in Windsor, attending Windsor public schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. She matriculated from Cali Calmécac Language Academy in 1998 and graduated from Windsor High School as Co-Valedictorian in 2002. She earned her BA from UC Berkeley in 2006 and her JD from Stanford Law School in 2011. She was the first person in her family to graduate from university and is still the only lawyer in her family. She is a mother to two children, born in 2008 and 2010. She and her family moved back to Windsor in 2013 so that her children could begin their education in Windsor public schools, at which time she entered private practice in the Bay Area. Her husband teaches physics and chemistry at Windsor High School.
Stephanie currently works (from home in Windsor) as an employee benefits attorney, advising some of the largest companies in the U.S. For the last several years she has also volunteered extensively on behalf of Windsor public schools. She looks forward to representing students, parents, and the broader community as a member of the Windsor School Board. Her open and collaborative approach, her experience working on behalf of Windsor public schools, and her unique professional experience make her an ideal candidate.
